OTTIS HALE EASON

Ottis Hale Eason 84, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Hospice Savannah. Mr. Eason was a native of Appling County and a longtime resident of Savannah. He was retired from the CSX Railroad after 35 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII. Mr. Eason enjoyed reading and fishing.
He was preceded in death by wife of 46 years, Lela Grace Eason, his parents, Ottis and Hannah Eason and two brothers, WP Eason and Donald Eason.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Beth Mollico of Ashville N.C., two brothers, Joe Frank Eason and wife, Ann of Waycross, GA. and George Winn Eason and wife JoAnn of Surrency, GA. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
